Simon Shaw

Chairman

Simon Shaw is the Chairman and principle shareholder of EEA Fund Management Limited. Simon was awarded an honours degree in Mathematics and Statistics from QMC University of London in 1981. Employed in Equity and Law's investment department after graduation, Simon left to join the Merchant Navy Officers Pension Fund in 1987. In 1992, he was recruited to join Clerical Medical Investment Management, subsequently to become Insight Investment, part of the Halifax Bank of Scotland, one of the UK’s largest retail financial services groups.

Simon successfully managed a range of UK equity mandates for over 10 years at Clerical Medical Investment Management/Insight, having individual responsibility for mandates worth approximately £3 billion and reporting responsibility for approximately £9 billion of UK equities. Simon's responsibilities, at various times included, Director of Research, Head of Group funds, Director of Clerical Medical Investment Funds Ltd and Joint Head of U.K equities.

Simon left Insight in 2003 to establish EEA Fund Management Ltd.

Hiren Patel

Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operations Officer

Hiren Patel, Director at EEA since 2003, has for the past 8 years worked in the investment management market specialising in medium sized companies. Before EEA, Hiren was employed at Groupama Asset Management Limited where he was the Group Financial Controller. He also has numerous senior financial positions including Allenbridge Group Plc, EPIC Private Equity LLP and ER Property Company II Limited. Hiren is a Director of E.H.M. Service Providers Limited and Establishment H.M. Limited.

Paul Goacher

Director

Paul spent several years in the drilling industry (roustabout to driller) prior to gaining a Degree in Economics. He then spent 3 years in investment accounting before joining the financial specialist stockbroker Fox-Pitt, Kelton Ltd. Paul helped build FPK over 21 years into a global financial investment bank and became a director in 1989. The company was purchased by Swiss Re in 1999 and Paul left six years later to join EEA as Fund Manager in July 2005.
